Figs and Fancies celebrates books and their place in the big and little moments of life. It is offered with curious readers in mind – all of you who love a tall TBR stack and are always seeking unique titles to add to it. To me, this space is less a traditional blog and more a humble love letter to books and a way to connect with people who share the same passion for them. About Me

My name is Julie, the creator of Figs and Fancies. If there were such a thing as a Book Whisperer, that is what I’d love for my full-time job to be because one of the most remarkable things in life is helping someone find or rekindle that magical connection to the world through books. Until that job becomes available, I continue my work as a Social Enterprise Executive, Educator, and Lead Learner. I live in Nebraska with my two wonderful crazy golden retrievers who are also book lovers – as in loving to chew them. Besides reading, my favorite things are chocolate, being an unapologetic space nerd, and dog walks on sunny days.
